it's been a month, sorry

Hello. For any of you who check this blog I apologize for the length of time it has been since I last wrote. Time sure flies and I actually have a new online addiction, though it is abating some now. It is called facebook. I have many more pics there because they upload much more quickly there. If you ever want to see it you can create a facebook account then type my name into the search and it should be there. I'm not sure if there is another way to see the pics or not. Anyway, I'll add some recent pics today. They'll be from our trip to the pumpkin patch two weeks ago. The weather was gorgeous and we had a wonderful time. Owen also got to ride on the combine with Papa and Uncle Eric that day. I think that was really the highlight. He spent 3 hours out there that afternoon.

Sidewalk Chalk

Owen and I had a lot of fun on Saturday out in the driveway.

Emma's Dedication

On Sunday we dedicated Emma to God, committing to raise Emma to know Him personally.

Here are some pictures from that day. Both sets of grandparents as well as Uncle Eric and Aunt Alicia, Great Grandpa and Grandma Pottschmidt, Aunt Linda and Amy were able to be there.

Can't catch Up

I'd love to fill you in on the last month at the Ransom's, but I know that I shouldn't take the time. There are lots of things to do and while I enjoy this it isn't a huge priority. I do want to share a couple recent pics though. The one of Owen and Emma playing is from today. Owen at the park is yesterday, and the pic of Chicago is from Matt and I's weekend there. We got away last weekend, just the two of us, thanks to Matt's parents watching the kids. Hope everyone is well.

Catching Up

Since I last wrote we have taken a Ransom family vacation and celebrated Owen's 3rd birthday. I have lots of photos to share.

Swimming

Yesterday we went swimming. Emma got in the pool for the second time. We had a lot of fun.

Crafts

I am trying to come up with crafts for Owen to do every once in awhile. Last week Owen and I picked out a frame and balls to decorate his frame. We had fun with this project.

Blueberry Picking

Two weeks ago Owen, Emma, and I went to a Blueberry Farm in Elkhart. We met Nana and Papa their. Owen's idea of picking basically amounted to taking berries from Nana's bucket and putting them into his. It was a nice morning, and the berries were delicious.

It has been awhile

I haven't posted in awhile so here are some pictures of the kids. We have been doing summer stuff. Matt and I have been playing softball, Owen is learning to ride his trike (he doesn't want to peddle), and Emma is really beginning to interact. We are having fun as a family of four.

More Owen and Emma

Emma is really getting her upper body up, she is rolling from her tummy to her back real well and even went once from her back to her tummy. Owen is becoming more "mischievous" by the day. Great kids, I think.

Owen has acclimated to the water now and loves to swim...look at him go. Emma wore her frilly dress on Sunday and was so...pretty.

A night of firsts

On Sunday night Matt had a youth event planned, putt putt. We hadn't taken the kids to a youth event in ages --in fact Emma had never been, so we decided this one was a good choice for the whole family. Owen was really looking forward to the bus ride, and had a blast golfing. You can ask him all about it.

Splash!!

Sunday we were out at Nana and Papa's. It rained a good portion of the day, but the sun did come out and it was warm enough for Uncle Evan to take Owen for a swim. Owen wasn't so sure of it. He commented that it was "too full." Which I believe meant "too deep for me!" He warmed up to it a bit though. In a time or two I'm sure he'll be swimming laps just as he was last summer. Right now his favorite thing to do is to throw "the sticks" so that Evan can retrieve them, and they can do it all over again.

Batter Up!

Owen loves to play ball, as you may very well know if you spend any time with him. He didn't have a bat, so this weekend daddy and mommy decided that Owen should have one. We debated on getting him a tee or just a wiffle ball and bat. We decided on the wiffle ball and bat. Really it's better, it requires interaction and mommy thinks it is probably better for developing hand-eye coordination though she has no info to back that up.

Sunny Summer Days

The last two days it has been above 85 degrees here in Goshen so we've been out in the backyard playing in the water. Owen loves it, and his sandbox. We've had lots of fun.

More Pictures

These are pictures from this past week. Nothing special going on, just documenting the life of my children.
